April 7, 2010 Uncle John

One of my other favorite pictures. Grandpa's brother Uncle John. Doesn't he look like the old South?
I got 2 more people signed up to garden and Manuel came out to check what we need for Sat. It was a busy but good day. I am glad that I don't have to go anywhere early tomorrow.

April 6, 2010 Interesting old family picture

an old scanned picture. All I have on it is Aunt Pearl Smith family. I like it. It says so much but who are they except some of Aunt Pearl's family. If I ever get caught up, I have to go through my pictures so some one in the future won't say "wonder what their names are".
Today was a good day. I had 3 calls on the garden and meeting with them tomorrow plus meeting with a landscape college class. Sat., the boy scouts will finish the work on the garden and most of that work will be done (if they get the water pipe fixed soon) Sat., all the recipes are to be in and I don't have to bug any more people. Then I will start working on the team. While watching Biggest Loser, I got all the paint sticks on the cards (fans) you sent me. At least that is a start. My next big thing to do is to do what you are doing----- watching what I eat and LOSE.

April 5, 2010 Birds

This nursery rhyme goes like this:

Birds of a feather flock together.
and so will pigs and swine.
Rats and mice will have their choice
and so will I have mine.

So I choose  you to be mine.

Today was a good day. I got another gardner who is interested. The bad thing is the pipe is broken that carries our water from the ditch. I know it will get fixed soon, but it is not at the most opportune time.
That was my day!

Easter Sunday Sunrise service

Easter Sunday! To be a threatened rain, quite a few people came out. It didn't rain and the sun didn't show and it was 39 degrees. It was still a good service. We celebrated the day with family last week so I came home and spent the rest of the morning working at getting some of the ivy out. It is supposed to be in the 70's next week so the snakes may be out (in the ivy) We had high winds and rain this afternoon so I am back to being housebound

and 'tis my faith that every flower enjoys the air it breathes.

I worked out in the yard all day today. I got lots done but lots more to do. It is going to rain by noon tomorrow . So I needed to get as much done as I could. I think I overdid my wrist, so I now have my brace on and going to bed soon. We are going to sunrise service, so I need to get up early.

April 2 2010 After the walk----Waiting for our door prize

I think the wind made me tired today. Tomorrow is supposed to be better. I signed up a girl for the garden today. I have been working on the garden paperwork and recipes for Relay. I still have more to do on both of them. See if you can post comments now. I changed lots of settings. I am open to the whole world. I am going to bed earlier tonight.

April Fools Day

This plant was never an April Fools for me. Poison Oak(or ivy) is really out now. There is a lot of it around here and also on my school trip. It put me in the emergency room once.
This is a good way of recognizing it.
