Book over 50 July 9, 2010

Just a reminder that you are going to publish a book (over 50)!
Today was a busy day. I have done good on my sweets, maybe not some other things.
I went to water aerobics today. I don't think that helped my knee. I also went to physical therapy. I have 3 exercises to d0 0ne is hard. In fact it hurts. It is like my knee was frozen in the wrong place, now I have to put it back to where it should be.
Tomorrow is early work day at church. I think I will go to bed early.

Church Snake July 6, 2010

Another day at Church. The water problem should be fixed for sure! Manuel worked really hard on getting it fixed. He usually can get most things fixed. It is so wonderful to have someone you can rely on. I got my first tomato yesterday. I have some big zucchini that I should make bread out of it. I have said this for a few days. I was putting away the extra pipe that we didn't use and I noticed this brown thing on the church porch. And it was a snake either sunning himself or sleeping.
We have a rattlesnake guy to come out once a year to round up all the rattlers. I think it is about time for him to come.
Did you get your house all decluttered. Every day I say I am going to do the same and always something comes up. I did a little bit yesterday before the water problem. If I get enough energy, I am going to grate the zucchini.

Challenge July 5, 2010

A Challenge for me to see if I can still sing "Don't worry. be happy" Tell Dioni that I need her to sing that for me tomorrow. Because I want to "Don't worry, be happy". I know it will work if she sings it too.
I was having a good day today until 3:00 and someone called that they weren't getting water and that there was a leak before their plot. Manuel came out after work and worked hard on it and I think he got it fixed but to be on the safe side, I turned off the water and will go out tomorrow morning to see if there are no leaks and cover it back up and turn the water on. I am learning so much! Who knows, if I was to believe in reincarnation I may come back as a plumber, if I am not forced to learn something else new before I come back.

Community garden July 4, 2010

Today started out to be a good day and now that it is over, I would say it is an average day. I always turn the drip on Manuel and my gardens while church is going on.Then I see Erin whoes plot is next to Manuel's. We talked for a few minutes before I had to go in and she was finished. There is not supposed to be gardening going on while we have church service. I took
this picture and put my camera away and her water pipe came apart and was it a gusher! She was panicing. Fortunately I knew where the cut off valve was. So we had to turn the water off on a day of 100 plus tempertue. I had to find someone to fix it and hope it was easy. I had to email the 13 gardeners and tell them the bad news. But a guy at church went out when the weather was cooler and got it fixed.
So God stepped in and took care of everything. This is when I need my "Don't worry.Be Happy."

Happy 4th of July July 3, 2010

Listening to some of the fireworks, not too many, but I am watching the neighbor's dog. Our dog always managed to run away around this time with the noise.This dog is old, hard of hearing, but I was afraid to take that chance so at 10:00 at night with flash light in hand, I went over and got the dog and her bed and put her in our garage. Tomorrow will be worse for fireworks. So I will leave her bed over here.
I know what you mean about "I want it and I want it now" I find myself guilty with that , especially now with my knee. It was better today. I took motrin and wore my brace. Also I got a email from my doctor saying he will contact orthopedics next week. If I get a doctor's appointment, it seems that I always start to feel better.

Mother Robin on Thompson Street. Her babies hatched. I watched them for a day and the next day something had gotten into the nest and torn everything apart.
I am falling asleep at the computer. Gotta go to bed.

Baby Birds July 1, 2010

Baby birds on my front porch in my fake flowers. I am sure their mother though they were beautiful!!
Or maybe she said YOU LOOK JUST LIKE YOUR FATHER. But it also makes me think of that video that Judy did with her dummy on "The Ugly Duck-ling"
On a new subject. I often wondered what mother and Aunt Velma thought about Buddy while they were growing up. What was their age differences. I wish that I had asked Aunt Velma when she was alive. I think she would have told me. I am not sure that mother would have. As I get older, I think of the things that I should have, could have but didn't.
