Buddy and his dog June 30, 2010

Not a good picture but it shows Buddy at a young age. And his wagon and his dog!
I still like the person's dentist remark, "The greatest part of the pain occured before you came to me." I think that applies to your Tuesday night women. I think they are so lucky (or is that blessed) to have you as their leader. You do a wonderful job!!

Baby Hawk June 29, 2010

We usually have 4 baby hawks. I think I have seen 3. This one loves our patio near the pool. Today I very carefully got within 6 feet of him. I thought he would do something. He never did. We waited each other out for 15 minutes. Finally he moved on but never did anything different at the pool. I thought he would want a drink or something! BUT he just sat there. I am so happy I am in the digital world. Trying to get a good picture of him every time I moved up would have cost a fortune with film.

Ritters in Germany June 28, 2010

Another oldie! Can you imagine Aunt Velma camping? sleeping out in a tent? Looks like Harry peaking out of the tent. I didn't know he was born while they were in Germany. Interesting picture!
I like your friend's comment or the dentist's, " The greatest part of the pain occured before you came to see me for help." That is so true, physically or mentally. I will have to remember that saying.

Squirel June 26, 2010

You probably feel like doing this after your big 3 days!
I'm dying to know how your last BIG day was.
Isn't it great to do something you've never done before and it comes out good. It is hard to relax until it is all over, then you can do what the squirrel did----just flake out for a short time.

Another Breast Cancer Ribbon June 25, 2010

I have seen 4 cancer ribbons and so far this is the prettiest one.
I was on TV. Very short so it wasn't so bad. The artist is on my face book page and she talks a lot about this project. Her name is Deidre Trudeau.
I went out to my church garden to pick zucchini. Some of them got to be clubs. They seem to grow while you are standing there.
I hope your day tomorrow goes good. I am sure it will.

6 foot breast cancer ribbon June 24, 2010

There is a series of artistically interpreted 6-foot tall ribbons in our area. I had seen a few earlier but didn't know much about them. I read a article about them this morning in our local paper. There are 16 all the same size and local artist have chosen one each to paint, decorate to how they want to protray breast cancer.I was meeting a friend for lunch across from this one. I took my camera, went early so I could get a picture. As I was taking a picture , a lady came up and wanted to know if I was one of the artists. I told her I was a cancer survivor and I thought this was a great idea. She was the artist of this ribbon. I enjoyed my talk with her and a man came up with a big camera(I had my little one) He was from our local TV and he was there to do a story. I started to leave since it was almost time for my lunch.
The TV guy asked if I could stay a few more minutes. He would like to interview me and get some pictures. I was almost a celebrity! But it wasn't on the early news, maybe it will be when nothing is happening.

Rabbit June 23, 2010

Which is worse a rabbit in the garden or a gopher?? We now have rabbits in the garden . I remember when daddy had rabbits in his garden at Cardwell. I didn't plant rabbit good so they aren't bothering me. And the gophers haven't done any damage in 2 days!
I hope today's doctor's visit went ok. He had my knee x-rayed
and said it looked good. He thought it might be a meniscus tear. He gave 3 choice and I opted for the cortisone shot. I did that after coming back from mother's funeral. That time it took a couple days to feel good.
I am glad to hear that LeRoy got a job and also that he could help you with your big day. Good Luck! Terry's day will come.
