March 15, 2010 WIND

Since I had a very windy day and night in camping the other day, I thought my subject should be WIND. After looking at my other posts, if you didn't know me, you would think I was a weather person.
March is known as the "windy month" opening the door to spring. The name comes from the god of war, Mars. Spring doesn't come until the third week of March, making the month fall partly in the winter and partly in the spring.
Don't you find that interesting, especially since that is also your birth month.

March 14, 2010 Home again

Here I am in the yellow. My thighs are screaming tonight. I climbed so many hills and going back down was worse than up. It was pretty scenery but I don't know how much geology I learned. Last night was 31 degrees! Inside the tent it wasn't bad, but the wind blew so hard, I thought I would lose my tent. I survived but I am not camping out in March again! I am tired and going to bed early.
Good night

March13, 2010 Geology class, hiking, camping

A short one today.I will be leaving soon and won't be back until tomorrow night. This is my friend's camper. I won't have that luxury tonight. It is tent camping!! It is 6:00 this morning at 34 degrees. I don't know what it will be like at Mt. Diablo. By getting ready for Gulf Shores, I didn't have to look very far for my cold weather gear. The teacher said to layer for the day. I look like an eskimo. I will probally get hot.

March 12, 2010 Rain

This picture was made outside of Ima' store. Norma and I were in Paragould in April before mother died. Mother was in the hospital at that time . She was asleep at the time, so Norma and I went shopping at mother's favorite store. It started raining after we finished shopping so Norma and I sat in the car for a short while watching it rain.
It rained here most of the day, supposed to be the last of the rain for at least a week. Next week is supposed to be in the 70's. I can hardly wait.

March 11, 2010 The Future

The best things about the future is that it comes one day at a time.
Enjoy each day as it comes. Today is a good day. I found my keys and the car is out of the garage

March 10, 2010 THE THREE OF US

THE THREE OF US!

Remember the past
Dream about the future
but live for today!

It is nice to remember the past of Gulf Shores. We had fun, cold or not!
We have a three month blog out to the future. It is fun to dream.
But TODAY, I can't find my spare keys, the car had a routine check but they say you have more problems------ give us $1300.00 more dollars-we fix. Had a much better meeting at Church. It is already midnight. I need to quit or I will be entering my future (proablly turn into a pumpkin).
Goodnight

Monday, March 8, 2010

Yesterday I started pruning my much overgrown camelia bush. It looks better but needs some more work. It was such a pretty day yesterday. I planted my potatoes and carrots. Spring had sprung or so I thought. It is 36 degrees now at 11:30 at night. Where did spring go?? Today has been a wild day anyway. I went to my geology class tonight. It requires camping out on Saturday night and I think it is cold now and in the house______what was I thinking of to say I would do this. I also have been working on the Relay, the community garden, a meeting at church on Wednesday night, a craft day on Wednesday ,art group on thursday and bridge on friday afternoon. My head is going round and round. As you can tell, I am feeling sorry for myself. Thank goodness, I have this blog so I can complain. The remedy for all of this is---- I am going to bed.
Goodnight
